¡°Octo¡± means eight in Latin. The word Octave (8 notes in music) and octopus (it¡¯s got eight legs) originates from the word. There was no particular name for 11^th and 12^th month of the year as we now call November and December because of its futility in agriculture.

March used to be the first month of the year until January and February were added to the calendar during the reign of Julius Caesar. Hence, March became the third month, and October being the 10^th month. I guess you all know the fact that the word ¡°august¡± comes from the emperor Augustus.

It has been a year since I left for Boston to be part of the research program there. People say there is no journey where you solve all the problems before it ends. If I had a chance to ¡°pause¡± reality and go back to the past, I would want to go back to Boston. However, the function of ¡°break¡± came into use in real life. On a keyboard, the function ¡°pause¡± and ¡°break¡± are on one button, performing two very opposite functions simultaneously. It used to be a widely used key when people used window DOS. However, the key has now been excluded in the Ipad and new small laptops because the scroll on the mouse has rendered it useless. In real life, these two functions cannot coexist together. We all have to go back to where we are supposed to be, greeting another new beginning.

 In Harvard, people precede graduation ceremony in Latin and people call graduation ceremony ¡°commencement day¡±. It insinuates graduation is another start confronted with a new challenge out in the world.

  I started seeing patients after I got back from Harvard on 16^th of August. In 19^th of August, professor peter Kang (working BIDMC) from cardiology department in Harvard medical school was invited to Hae Nam general hospital and had meaningful time with local doctors and medical students. In 24^th I was invited to a welcome back dinner party from internal medicine department on 24^th and from Kidney department on 31^st.

8^th of September in 1841, Dvorak who is famous for ¡°new world symphony¡± was born. The new world symphony is also famous for the music that Neil Armstrong has chosen for the journey to the moon. ¡°Boston and Musician 8¡± is about Dvorak and Tchaikovsky the pioneer of Nationalism following Baroque, Classicism and Romanticism.
